Hello, and welcome to my site.  I am an Earth Energies and Earth Mysteries  researcher, Leyhunter and Deviceless Dowser who lives  on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border in   middle  England, close to what remains of the ancient and mysterious Forest of Sherwood.

Deviceless Dowsing means that I rarely use dowsing rods or pendulums, but instead use  a combination of intuition, dowsing with my eyes and using  my hands as dowsing rods. I can also  feel  energy with my hands and this  allows me to experience energy in 3D as something that is dynamic and ever-changing. You can find out more about Deviceless Dowsing in the book "Beyond the Far Horizon, Why Earth Energy Dowsing Works: The Life and Work of Billy Gawn" compiled and narrated by Nigel Twinn (2012).

I have made available some of my  articles in PDF format for download on this site.  All the articles are free of charge and can be downloaded by clicking on the PDF icon next to the accompanying  image.

In the "Earth Energies & Leys" section you will find  some articles that I wrote for the journals of the British Society of Dowsers and the Society of Leyhunters.

In the "Dowsing Sherwood" section you can find some articles about my  adventures dowsing in the Sherwood area which also discuss my evolving thinking about the nature of Earth Energies and Leys.

In the   "Landscape Geometry" section you will find information about the various landscape pentagrams and other geometries that I came  across when I first embarked upon my Dowsing journey.

The  "Earth Mysteries" section contains several articles that combine my varying interests in Earth Energies, Landscape Geometry, the Origins of Civilisation, Megaliths,  Psychic Questing, the transformation of consciousness and the Lincoln Cathedral Codex. Many of these were originally written as contributor articles for the now defunct Dan Green Codex website.

Thank you for your visit. I hope you find something of interest here. The site is a work in progress, as is my research and my spiritual and dowsing journeys, so  please feel free to keep popping back now again to see what has changed.

Bright Blessings

Mave Marian, the Sherwood Dowser
